The Tonopah Chamber of Commerce held its
first general meeting on Saturday, July 12, at the
Tonopah Convention Center. During the meeting, the
election of officers and board members took place. The
newly elected officers and directors are:
Chairman of the Board: Denise Nelson
Vice Chairman: Larry Whitney
Secretary: Joni Eastley
Treasurer: Lisa Westerlund
Directors: Mary Tisue – 3 year term
David Mosch – 2 year term
Cindy Kaminiski – 1 year term
Thanks to all of you who attended and
to those new officers who have volunteered their time to
serve the Chamber of Commerce, its membership and our
community.
The Tonopah Farmer’s Market is
currently underway every Monday from 4 p.m. to dusk at
the Pocket Park on Main Street.
They have a variety of offerings,
including fresh, locally grown produce, homemade tamales
and jams, gift items and activities for children.

The annual Tonopah/Goldfield Reunion
Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 16, at the Jim
Butler Park from noon to 4:30 p.m. Class reunions are
welcome to attend and there will be plenty of food and
prizes for the family with the largest gathering.
There will also be a reunion dinner
that evening at Tonopah Station and reservations are
